We are a non-profit organization registered with the IRS. There are bylaws and regulations PS2 PTO have in place and follow. The PTO was created during the 2011/2012 school year. All members are Teachers, parents, and school officals. All of which have the same goal in mind....Our Students.
What exactly does the PTO do ?
PS2 PTO promotes a closer bond between teachers and parents. We try our hardest to get parents more involved. We fund activites after school hours like movie night, family fitness, reading night, etc. All in hopes to get families to spend time together and learn together. Offer financial support for classroom supplies,the reading garden and activities that are run outside the annual school budget.
The sole purpose is for teachers, school staff and parents to support one another for the education and well being of the students of PS 2.
